Attorney Erik S. Newton
With a knack for connecting the dots and getting things done, Attorney Erik Newton applies his two decades of experience in law and healthcare to find solutions for you–the client.
After growing up in Muscatine, Iowa and spending a year as a United States House of Representatives Page (1996-97) in Washington, D.C. and as a Congress-Bundestag Scholar (1997-98) in Gelnhausen, Hessen, Germany, Erik headed off to university. A graduate of Hillsdale College in Michigan, Erik obtained his Juris Doctorate degree in 2005 from Vanderbilt University Law School. After school, he became a licensed member of the Illinois bar and practiced in litigation in Chicago with the firm of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. In 2009, Erik struck out on his own opening Newton’s Law in Chicago, Illinois. Yearning for sunshine and the beach, Erik and his family made the move to South Florida in late 2015. He is now a proud member of the Florida bar as well.
When he’s not solving legal conundrums and drafting documents, Erik enjoys hanging out with friends by the pool, cooking, playing soft-tip darts, reading books on history and political philosophy, and dabbling in the frustrating world of political discussion. An avid volunteer, Erik regularly works shifts at the Palm Beach County Food Bank and assists friends and other non-profits with friendly and legal advice. Erik’s family and their black lab Cosmo live in Lake Worth Beach, Florida.
